Angiofox contains a substance known as isozerbide-3- mononitrate which in turn expands the peripheral blood vessels especially veins. The first is to reduce the resistance of the peripheral blood vessels, which helps reduce the load on the heart, and the second benefit is to reduce the amount of blood returning to the heart which reduces the effort on the heart.
